The reenactments available from this page feature individuals who are actors and locations that are sets. The servers depicted are intended to represent IBM S/36, AS/400 and other models that are precursors to today's IBM eServer iSeries. An F2 tornado hits this town in Texas. Papers flying up to 75 miles. The area takes over $400 million in damage. And this one company's IBM server gets the twister head on.

Winds up to 152 mph. Hail four and a half inches in diameter. Industrial dumpsters thrown 100 yards. The roof rips off. The office is soaked. Rain is forced inside sealed containers. Debris smashes equipment all around the iSeries. And the server itself is swamped in inches of water.

To get it up out of there, a company VP stacks soggy server manuals and balances the machine on top. When things dry out, an IBM engineer opens that server up - gives the thumbs up - and the server fires right up. 17 years of that company's work, a-ok. And that server had them back in business by the next Monday.

It sounds crazy, right?
F2 twister.
Up to 152 mile per hour winds.
Left sitting in standing water.

But I'm telling you - all true. That's what they say.

The next-generation IBM iSeries.
Resilient. Flexible. And incredibly reliable.
